04/06-04/07 & 04/13-04/14/2019 | CRHP Renewal Weekend for Men and Women

Christ Renews His Parish, or CRHP, is a program designed to help us renew our Christian faith by bringing members of the Our Lady of Mercy community together in Christ.

It is a break from your busy schedule of personal, business and family obligations so that you can refresh yourself spiritually and renew your heart. You will be meeting with and listening to the experiences of other men or women from our Parish in an informal and relaxed environment of reflection, fellowship and fun.

The day on Saturday starts at 7:30am and goes through the evening at 8:30pm.  We return the next day at the same time 7:30am ending at 3pm.

The emphasis during the weekend is on small group interaction. Everyone is free to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable. Discussion and sharing is enjoyed by all participants.

After the weekend, the opportunity to continue faith formation exists with an option to continue to meet and grow as a spiritual community and eventually share what you’ve experienced with others.

03/25 – 03/27/2019 | Parish Mission

MISSION NIGHT ONE – The Father’s Delight
What if you didn’t have to earn God’s love? What if performance had nothing to do with salvation? In this engaging talk, Deacon Keith Strohm explores the reality of the Father’s love for each of us. We were created for an eternal life filled with peace, joy, freedom, and communion with God and each other. Using Scripture, Tradition, and personal stories seasoned with a dose of humor, this first talk hopes to draw you closer to the Father’s Heart—which beats for you.

MISSION NIGHT TWO – Breaking the Power of Sin
“Jesus died for our sins.” We may hear that a lot, but what does it mean that God’s Son gave His life for you and me? Deacon Keith Strohm explores the mystery of sin and the Father’s response in Jesus Christ. How does the Cross set us free? Is the Cross simply a declaration of our sinfulness, or does it reveal something deeper—something essential for us to know about who we are? Why does it matter that Christ rose from the dead?

MISSION NIGHT THREE – Unleashing the Spirit
The Lord frees us from the power of sin and death so that we might live in the fullness of His life—a life we were originally created for. Peace, joy, freedom, holiness, intimacy and love, integrity, fruitfulness, mercy, healing—these are all hallmarks of the Kingdom life we receive from Jesus, and they come to us through the gift of His Holy Spirit in Baptism. In this last talk, Deacon Keith Strohm, explores what it means to live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit and shares how to unleash that Spirit for our sake and the sake of the world!
