Here is the following update from a friend of Fathe. Don:
“I wanted to let you know that Fr. Don is recovering from surgery. The surgery was relatively quick (for brain surgery) and the surgeon said the tumor was solid–making it very easy to remove. We will know more later today, but the first pathology report is that the tumor is renal cell carcinoma–the kidney cancer that the doctors believe had spread.
As you may imagine, Father Don needs rest. The doctors believe it best that he receives no visitors for the next few days.
Tentative (but not finalized) plans include moving him to a rehab center to regain strength.
Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes! I know that Father Don appreciates everyone’s prayers — and he really does appreciate all of you!”
Blessings!
