Surrendering is Heroic
Mary said, “May it be done to me according to your word.” We can admire this moment of the Annunciation and revere it. But what can we learn from it? Is it just about Mary? Or is it also in some profound way about us? Are we willing to obey God when He comes to us?
“Surrender” is not a word we like to hear because it sounds weak. Father Don encourages us to shift our perspective, because, surrender when uttered in response to God, it is heroic! And that is what we are called to be today…..heroic for God.
