Mass of Thanksgiving for Transitional Deacon Topher Otieno12/7

Join us in celebrating and giving thanks to God at a Mass of Thanksgiving offered by Transitional Deacon Topher Otieno on Sunday, December 7 at 12:00 pm here at Our Lady of Mercy, followed by a reception. The Mass will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.

A Mass of Thanksgiving is a joyful celebration in which the newly ordained deacon, together with the community, gives thanks to God for the grace of Holy Orders. During this special liturgy, Deacon Topher will assist at the altar for the first time in his new role, giving public thanks to God for his vocation and service to the Church.

Although originally from Kenya, Deacon Topher considers Our Lady of Mercy his home parish, and our community rejoices with him as he begins this new chapter of his journey toward the priesthood. Please keep him in your prayers as he continues to serve the Lord with joy and faith.
