Sacrament of Confirmation 11/16

Please join us in lifting up our high school teens in prayer as they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, November 16th at 2:30pm here at Our Lady of Mercy. We are blessed to welcome Bishop Spies  as he celebrates this special Mass and calls down the gifts of the Holy Spirit upon our Confirmandi.

Come, Holy Spirit, come upon our Confirmation Candidates. Create in their hearts a deep intimacy with God. May they be “clothed with power from on high,” fully equipped with Your spiritual gifts to manifest God’s love, presence, and power in the world, continuing the mission of Jesus Christ and His Church.

As Pope Benedict XVI reminds us: “Christ’s entire mission is summed up in this: to baptize us in the Holy Spirit, to free us from the slavery of death and to open heaven to us.” Let us celebrate with joy and pray that our teens may embrace this new outpouring of grace and live boldly as disciples of Christ.
