It’s not every day that Our Lady of Mercy is honored to welcome a prince of our Catholic Church — Cardinal Peter Ebere Okpaleke from Nigeria. What a blessing that Cardinal Okpaleke will be visiting us on August 2nd and 3rd, preaching at all the weekend Masses.

Fr. Michael and Fr. Vagenas are especially excited to welcome him and hope to learn a little about the recent conclave—though, of course, Cardinals are bound by sacred secrecy!

This rare visit is a wonderful opportunity to hear about Cardinal Okpaleke’s inspiring ministry in the Diocese of Ekwulobia and to deepen our connection with the universal Church. Please join us as we warmly welcome with love Cardinal Okpaleke and celebrate this special blessing for our parish family.
