Blessing of the Animals – 10/4

We are paws-itively excited about our annual Pet Blessing! Join us on Saturday, October 4 at 12pm in the circle drive to have your pet blessed, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi!

St. Francis, whose feast day is October 4, gained special recognition for his love of nature and animals, and many stories tell of him “preaching to the birds” when a group of noisy swallows was disturbing his preaching. The birds immediately fell silent and stood all around him, listening intently as he spoke of God’s majesty.
