Blessing of Food and Easter Baskets 4/19

On 4/19, Holy Saturday, morning pray is at 8am and the Easter Basket Blessing is at 12pm.

In central and eastern Europe, there are many ethnic customs for the observance of Lent and the celebration of Easter. One of the most popular is the blessing of Easter food and the blessing of the children which marked the end of the penances of Lent and the beginning of the celebration of the Resurrection.
