What is Walking With Moms in Need?
Walking with Moms in Need is a process through which Catholic parishes and communities “walk in the shoes” of local pregnant and parenting women in need. It’s an initiative of the Church through which we as a community can team together to support mothers in need. Jesus gives us the Church as a gift. We, the Body of the Church, are meant to be a gift to others. Everyone in our parish community should know where to refer a pregnant or parenting woman in need.
I’m Pregnant; Where Can I Go For Help?
You’ve come to the right place! Start with a pregnancy help center, click HERE to connect with Waterleaf Women’s Center in Aurora. Don’t be afraid to ask for help!
Waterleaf Women’s Center is the best place to start. At Waterleaf, you will find individuals who care about you and are dedicated to doing everything possible to help you explore your options by providing accurate information. They can help you verify your pregnancy with a no-cost accurate pregnancy test and ultrasounds. They have information on the free resources available to you that can help to meet your financial, material, and emotional needs. Their services are available regardless of income, race, or religion, and no insurance is required.
They can also network with other organizations that specialize in providing housing, as well as other necessities. If you need to explore housing options before your appointment at a pregnancy help center, they can help.
