Church teachings aren’t always popular, but in a culture of death (as JP2 would call it) or a throwaway culture (as Pope Francis would have it) things quickly are treated as “rubbish”. The Spirit of God gives dignity, purpose, and life, so on this Pentecost, we pray with the Psalmist: 𝐿𝑜𝑟𝑑, 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑡ℎ 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑆𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑖𝑡! 𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡ℎ! (Psalm 104:30)
