Today we pray for and are grateful and inspired by our veterans who have given their lives for our country.

Dear God,
You who are the source of all life and the creator of all that is good, praise be to Your Name in all the Earth.
Heavenly Father, today we honor our veterans and the members of our armed forces, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country.
We are thankful for their unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country’s heritage, for all of us.
Bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made for their many different contributions to America’s victories over tyranny and oppression.
We pray that You will watch over them; may they experience Your firm support, gentle love and compassionate healing. Be their power and protector, leading them from darkness to light.
