Duc In Altum—Put out into deep water…. Luke 5:1-11
A reminder from Fr Mark’s homily to cast out into the deep; to spend some time this week in prayer with the Gospel in the boat with Jesus and allow yourself to be filled with the fascination and awe of who the Greatest Of All Time—Jesus is.
Spend time at Jesus’ feet just the way Peter did and ask to be filled with the same sense of wretchedness that Peter felt, to feel the unworthiness at Jesus’ feet but DON’T stay there—be transformed by whatever you need to throw over the boat.
Cast out into the deep this week. Duc In Altum It’s what is asked of us from none other than the real Greatest Of All Time, Jesus Christ.
